In the UK this song won a 1990 Brit award for best British single. In The USA it was their biggest chart hit. It’s about ‘Enjoy the silence’, one of the most popular songs performed by Depeche Mode. As a hit It found its place in ‘Violator’, the seventh studio album released by Mute Records in 1990.
