Back to school activities (A1 – A2)
Soon we will go back to school and start working with our students again. Some of them will be new. The activities I am presenting today are mostly dedicated to students which are 12 – 14 year old. They focus on group work which help new students get to know each other better at the beginning of the school year. At the same time students are supposed to revise some vocabulary, produce the language by making up sentences and enjoy working together. I think it is a good idea to let the groups compete and the first task is made this way. After completing the exercise, all groups should present their work and get points accoring to the scoring system provided. Extra points should be added for finishing first (3 points), second (2 points) and third (1 point). The group with most points is the winner.As one of the tasks in Ex. 1 is drawing a picture, it would be good to prepare sheets of paper, one for each group.
